Instituted through the Nirmala Devi Endowment, it recognizes healthcare professionals who go beyond routine responsibilities to prevent harm, address near-misses, and protect patient well-being.
Honouring everyday heroes in healthcare, the award celebrates impactful actions that strengthen a culture of safety, compassion, and accountability, while inspiring others to advance safer care for all.

Notes
- Submissions must be based on genuine patient safety or life-saving actions.
- Announcement of shortlisted nominees on 20 March 2026.
- The award will be conferred during the closing ceremony on 12 April 2026, only on conference registration.
- Awards & Recognition: Certificate of Appreciation for both Winner and Runner-Up. The Winner will receive a cash prize of INR 10,000 along with CAHO training sponsorship up to INR 10,000, while the Runner-Up will receive CAHO training sponsorship up to INR 5,000.
